Looking Back



A couple of minutes ago, I found myself renewing my subscription to deviantART. I'm really disappointed in myself because I used to invest so much time in drawing and uploading artwork, but in nearly six months, I haven't uploaded anything...

I feel like if I was really dedicated, I could keep drawing a bit everyday (or at least several times a week), no matter how busy I am with school, work, or my social life. But it's sad that that isn't the case.

I'm definitely motivated to do something! I actually really want to draw something, but I wish that there were more hours in a day.




The Scenery Begins


I haven't submitted any deviations lately, but I did do a couple of scribbles earlier in the quarter (around five weeks ago).

This one came to me spontaneously. I just wanted to scribble something abstract.

I often tell myself that I won't upload a deviation unless it's nice and colored, so from now on, I think I'll put random scribbles and such in my journal.

There are only six more weeks left in the quarter before summer (which I'm actually looking forward to). The job I have for next year will require me to stay on campus for training and work during the summer, so it will be my first time hanging out with friends and spending the summer away from home. I'll be busy with work and figuring out my life for the next year, but I really hope I can dedicate some time to draw...especially since I spent all of last summer spitting out Gintama pictures like no other.

I'm actually pretty positive that I will have the time to draw. I've accumulated a couple of artbooks so it's not like I'm lacking the inspiration or motivation. Time is just against me! But definitely...during the summer. Perhaps I'll even start a project...
